CSL Hazardous goods store
A new Hazardous Goods Storage Facility was required to be constructed at CSL Behring’s Broadmeadows facility due to the current and future expansion of production facilities on the site. MRU were engaged by CSL to undertake an initial design of the proposed facility to confirm compliance with relevant statutory requirements and CSLs operational requirements.
On sign off of the design MRU undertook the construction of the new facility with an overall size of 800m2 and height of 8m to the roof line. The building is steel framed and internally lined with 100mm insulated panel and externally clad in spandek. It is broken up into 3 compartments being a Primary storage and receiving area and two separate acid/base storage areas which are thermally controlled to suit the requirements of the materials being stored.
CSL Storage shed
Due to a general storage area shortage across the Broadmeadows site MRU were engaged by CSL to construct a purpose built 1200m2 storage facility. The facility was constructed on a particularly difficult site, with 2000m3 of imported fill required to be placed and compacted to create the 1200m2 shed floor plate. The works were constructed to meet a tight internal Client deadline whilst still being completed within the project budget.
CSL Boiler house
The project was an expansion of the existing Boiler House at the CSL Behrings existing Broadmeadows facility. The project involved considerable excavation and concrete works, a new steel structure, wall and roof cladding and internal works to facilitate the installation of a new 10MW gas fired Boiler.
